Rudolph DePersia Jr. MD
Dr. DePersia is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College Class of 1981. He did his Residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and achieved Board certification in 1984. Dr DePersia is also certified in Geriatric Medicine.
Dr. DePersia has served the Woodbury area medical community for thirty years as the President of DePersia Medical Group. He has delivered excellent primary care to his patients in both the outpatient and inpatient setting at Underwood Hospital.
Dr. DePersia has served as President of the Gloucester County Medical Society, President of the UMH Medical Staff, longstanding member of UMH Medical Executive Committee.He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of UMH Health System. In addition to clinical and administrative duties he has been Medical Director of Heartland Hospice in West Deptford N.J.
Dr. DePersia and his wife Dr Lori DePersia have raised two children while living in Haddonfield NJ for the past 15 years. Despite a very busy professional life Dr DePersia enjoys golf , travel, exercise, cooking, gardening and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
Brian Chernoff, MD
Dr. Chernoff is a graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After graduation in 1992, he went on to complete a three year residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. After residency, Dr. Chernoff joined the faculty at Thomas Jefferson University and served as anattending physician and a Clinical Instructor of Medicine for both medical students and residents. In 1996, Dr. Chernoff joined DePersia Medical Group in Woodbury, New Jersey.
Dr. Chernoff is board certified in Internal Medicine. In 2009, he became and is presently the division chief of Internal Medicine and Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Underwood-Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Chernoff enjoys all aspects of being a primary care physician. Specific areas of interest are management of high cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes.
He lives in South Jersey with his wife and two daughters.
Robert Ocasio, MD
Dr. Robert Ocasio completed his residency training in internal medicine at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Cooper Hospital in 1997. He joined University Cooper Hospital Physicians as an instructor of medicine working directly with residents in training. In 1999 he joined Depersia Medical Group as part of Jefferson University Physicians.
He currently enjoys providing primary care to adults, especially preventive care in diabetes, obesity, hypertension, lipids and cardiovascular diseases. He also provides acute inpatient care at Underwood Memorial Hospital were he is member of various committees and chairman of the medical records committee. Dr. Ocasio is fluent in Spanish.
